Step 1: Relax
Stress is mortal enemy number one to keeping your hair. Though stress-related hair loss can be a temporary condition, stress wreaks havoc on your entire body and can contribute to the hormonal imbalances that can cause permanent hair loss.
Step 2: Eat Better
Just like stress, not getting the proper nutrients your body needs can impact your hormones in a negative way that can exacerbate not just hair loss, but a number of hormone-related conditions ranging from poor sleep, lack of energy, depressed mood, poor muscle tone, and excess fat.
Step 3: Help Your Hormones
Hormonal imbalance is one of the major causes of hair loss in men. Imbalanced testosterone can cause severe hair loss when the enzyme, 5 alpha reductase (5-AR)—an enzyme that’s present in the hair follicles—converts testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is a potent androgen—a word that comes from the Greek words meaning “man-maker” and has been shown to promote what we commonly call male baldness or premature hair loss.
Helping your hormones is the most active way you can help slow down your hair loss today.
Here’s what you need to know about your hormones and their role in hair loss.
What is DHT?
Androgenic alopecia is one of the most common reasons why men lose their hair as they get older. It’s “androgenic” because it is often inspired by a potent male androgen—DHT. It’s estimated that 50 million men in the United States have this condition.
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is an androgen. An androgen is a sex hormone that contributes to the development of what are thought of as characteristics of the male sex, like body hair. But this same androgen can cause you to lose your hair faster and younger than you should.
Many medications and treatments designed to help baldness target DHT and attempt to block the conversion of testosterone to DHT. But, there are other ways you can safely and naturally keep your hair while treating many other symptoms of hormonal imbalance like poor sleep, inability to lose weight, and fatigue.
What does DHT do?
Like testosterone, DHT is an androgen. Androgens are hormones that contribute to male sex characteristics when you go through puberty. Characteristics such as a deeper voice, increased body hair, increased muscle mass, etc… are all thanks to androgens.
But as you age, testosterone and DHT continue to help your body in many ways. Testosterone helps your mood, drive, sexual health, muscle mass, and fertility. Both your libido and erections depend on you having enough DHT. DHT is also vital for bone density, healthy cognitive function, and can help you manage anxiety.
Typically, about ten percent of testosterone in a man’s body is converted to DHT thanks to the help of an enzyme called 5-alpha reductase (5-AR). But, once DHT begins to flow through your bloodstream, it can have a negative impact on your hair. Hair follicles in the scalp can begin to shrink and, ultimately, become less able to help you maintain a thick, healthy head of hair.
Some researchers have found that too much DHT can also negatively impact other parts of your body. Abnormally high levels of DHT have been linked to:
- slowed healing of skin after an injury
- enlarged prostate and prostate cancer
- heart disease
- and, inflammatory acne.
Too Little DHT is Bad too . . .
Not having enough DHT can be just as bad as having too much. Too little DHT can cause problems in sexual development during puberty. Low DHT actually delays the onset of puberty. After that, low DHT may cause changes in body fat distribution or increase the risk of developing prostate tumors.
You need DHT, just not too little or too much.
But, DHT can make you bald.
Hair grows out of something called follicles—little openings in your skin that contain single strands of hair. Each of these follicles experiences a growth cycle that cam be anywhere from two to six years in length. When you cut your hair or shave, you’re shortening it, not getting rid of it. That same hair will sprout up again, out of the same follicle.
But, when the follicle’s growth cycle completes, the old hair will fall out and the new hair will grow in its place.
When your androgen levels are too high, your hair follicles can shrink and shorten this cycle. Hair will fall out faster. Or, hair may be brittle or thinner. Imbalanced hormones are, ultimately, a major contributor to baldness. If you want to keep your hair, balance your hormones.
So, How Do I Balance My Hormones, Naturally?
KEEP READING: The Secret to Hormone Balancing is Within Your Body!
This just may be every man’s secret weapon against hair loss.
It’s already inside your body.
When you have enough of it, all goes well. When you don’t, you start to look and feel older.
It’s called Human Growth Hormone. Now wait, before you click away, you need to know: HGH has received a lot of publicity, both good and bad, over the past decade.
There are dangerous ways to try to boost your HGH levels. But there are also safe, natural, and effective ways to do it that can help you keep your hair longer! Plus help you improve your body composition, increase muscle mass, sleep better, have more energy, and even a better mood.
How can it help hair loss?
Many theories as to how Human Growth Hormone affects hair growth, and thus hair loss have been researched. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) works to help the liver produce a hormone called Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF). There are multiple types of IGF. IGF-1 can cause hair follicles to proliferate and, thus, it can inspire the hair follicle into a new growth cycle. People who are deficient in IGF-1 and HGH have decreased hair growth compared to individuals with hormones in normal ranges.
Other studies have shown that insulin stimulates hair follicles to grow in a dose dependent relationship. In other words, more insulin means more hair growth. This study found that IGF-1 may not cause new hair growth, but instead can prevent follicles from shrinking.
The Wisconsin Medical University conducted a two-year study that tested human growth hormone on 300 individuals. Thirty-eight percent of those participating said their hair color and texture improved and many claimed they experienced healthier hair growth.
In another study (Nationwide Centre for Biotechnology study) human growth hormone injections stimulated the growth of hair follicles on rats. According to the results, existing hair follicles became engorged and new hair follicles were shaped. Researchers concluded that these treatments could play a role in stimulating new hair growth.
Numerous studies have shown that HGH treatments can be effective in healing receding hairlines, thinning in the hair, and revitalizing regrowth. In fact, some even showed that HGH can slow hair from graying!
HGH is an anabolic hormone, one that builds up rather than breaks down. HGH builds and repairs tissues so that you can not only have healthier hair growth, but also experience many other benefits of this type of repair throughout your body.
In other words, balancing the levels of HGH in your body can help you build muscle, help your metabolism increase so you burn fat, and even help you sleep better!
Not all HGH supplements are created equal though.
In fact, there are many you should steer clear of. Injections can be dangerous and expensive.
But, ProBLEN HGH is an FDA-regulated, over-the counter strength, homeopathic hormone booster.
This means it’s natural. There are no side effects. You don’t have to go to the doctor first. (Though many doctors recommend our HGH products! In fact, we had doctors help create them.)
But Aren’t Hormones the Problem Driving Hair Loss?
Yes, if you’ve read this far, you may be wondering: I thought my hair was falling out because I have too much of certain hormones. And you’re right. If you’re levels of certain hormones are too high, it can wreak havoc on your body. Certain hormones can hinder growth or deprive the growth needed in your hair follicles. HGH is the opposite, it inspires growth. That’s what it was designed to do—help you grow!
That’s why ProBLEN’s formulas are ideal. They don’t raise your hormone levels unless you need them to be raised. They are designed to balance your hormone levels.
Starting about age 30, your levels of HGH start dropping every single year. Many adult men have very low levels of HGH in their bodies which can cause them to look and feel older.
But, ProBLEN’s HGH can help you fight the symptoms of low or imbalanced HGH, helping better and improving your appearance too.

These cells help your body fight viruses, bacteria, and infections to keep you healthy and well. How’s that for a bonus? A healthy immune system is what we all need this year, right?
94% is an amazing result.
